Hypoacidity

Deficiency of acid.


Unusually low acidity, especially in the stomach.


A condition of decreased acid in the stomach caused by lowered hydrochloric acid secretion. This condition may occur secondary to other disorders, such as stomach cancer, pernicious anemia, infection with Helicobacter pylori, or treatment with acid suppressing medications or surgeries.


A lack of normal stomach acid.
