Inpatients

Persons admitted to health facilities which provide board and room, for the purpose of observation, care, diagnosis or treatment.


A person being treated in a hospital or other facility as a resident, outpatient.


A patient who has been admitted at least overnight to a hospital or other health facility (which is therefore responsible for his room and board) for the purpose of receiving diagnostic, treatment or other health services. Inpatient care means the care given inpatients.


Someone who stays overnight or for some time in a hospital for treatment or observation.


A patient who receives care while being lodged in an institution.


A patient who is admitted to a bed in a hospital ward and remains there for a period of time for treatment, examination, or observation.


A person who requires a hospital bed for investigation or treatment.


A patient who is required to stay in a hospital overnight or longer.
