Internal jugular vein

The paired, bilaterally placed blood vessels of the interior neck that receive blood from the brain and superficial structures of the neck and face.


A vein that drains blood from the face, neck, and the cranial venous sinuses and unites with the subclavian vein to form the brachiocephalic vein. It is a vein commonly used to gain access to the central circulation or the right side of the heart.


Vein located at the side of the neck to collect blood from the brain and parts of the face and neck.
