Iris bombe

An abnormal condition of the eye in which the iris bulges forward toward the cornea. It is due to pressure from the aqueous humor behind the iris when its passage through the pupil to the anterior chamber of the eye is obstructed.

A condition seen in annular posterior synechia. The iris balloons forward from the posterior pressure, blocking the aqueous outflow through the anterior chamber angle.
