Labile

Gliding; moving from point to point over the surface; unstable; fluctuating.

Chemically unstable.

Rapidly shifting (as applied to emotions); unstable.

Easily moved or changed, as in shifting from one emotion to another, or becoming quickly aroused.

Unstable. In psychiatry and psychology, moods or behaviors that are changeable and unstable are called labile. Someone who is emotionally labile is capable of switching from anger to sadness to cheeriness rapidly. In medicine, the term “labile” is sometimes used to describe rapidly changeable blood glucose levels in people with diabetes and fluctuating blood pressure readings in those with labile hypertension.

Fluctuating. For instance, labile high blood pressure refers to the reading a doctor gets from a very anxious and emotional individual. This reading doesn’t accurately reflect the person’s regular blood pressure.
