Lamellar recessive ichthyosis

Lamellar ichthyosis (LI) is one of the two major forms of hereditary, autosomal recessive, congenital disorders of keratinization, the process by which skin tissues form and are eventually shed from the body’s surface. Abnormalities are present at birth or shortly thereafter. The incidence of LI has not been determined. The mode of inheritance is autosomal recessive.
