Latanoprost

An antiglaucoma agent. Latanoprost (Xalatan) is used to decrease the pressure within the eyeball, which if left unchecked can damage the optic nerve and lead to loss of vision. It is given as an eye drop and works by increasing the flow of fluid out of the eyeball, which reduces pressure in the eye.

An analogue of prostaglandin, used to treat open-angled glaucoma and raised intra-ocular pressure in the eye. Delivered as eye drops, the drug is used in patients who cannot tolerate, or who fail to respond to, other treatments.

A prostaglandin agonist used as an ocular hypotensive and an antiglaucoma agent. It is administered as eye drops to manage glaucoma or to lower intraocular pressure.

A drug derived from prostaglandin, utilized as eye drops to treat glaucoma, a condition where there’s elevated fluid pressure inside the eyeball.
