Lientery

A form of diarrhoea where the food passes through the intestine rapidly without being digested.

Diarrhea with the passage of undigested food in the feces. This may indicate simply rapid transit of food through the digestive tract or some form of malabsorption.

A type of disrupted bowel function where the ingestion of food leads to a relatively rapid bowel movement shortly thereafter. This typically results from an overstimulated bowel and may have a nervous origin. It can also occur when the stomach’s gastric juice has an unusually low acid concentration, and many individuals find relief by supplementing their meals with additional acid mixed into fruit juice. This condition is also referred to as lienteric diarrhea.
