Limp

A way of walking awkwardly because of pain, stiffness or malformation of a leg or foot.

A characteristic, unsteady gait that favors one leg over the other because of pain or problems with the muscles or bones of the hips, legs, or feet. Limping may be related to pain or problems in the lower back, a simple injury or bruise, a strain or fracture, ill-fitting shoes, a plantar wart on the sole of the foot, a splinter in the foot, or an inflamed joint.

An irregular walking pattern characterized by dissimilar movements of one leg (or the hip on one side of the body) compared to the other. If a child exhibits a limp, it’s essential to seek medical attention within 24 hours, as the issue could stem from a hip disorder necessitating immediate treatment.
