Litchi

A tree known for its sweet edible fruit. Litchi also known as Lychee, Litchee, and Leechee.

Originating from China, the lychee is a fruit borne by a tree that thrives in various regions across the Orient, as well as in the Southern United States, Hawaii, the West Indies, South Africa, and Australia. Encased within a reddish-brown outer covering with a distinctive scaly texture, the lychee conceals within it a luscious, ivory-hued flesh. At the core lies a firm, brown pit. The flavor of the lychee is an alluring amalgamation of acidity and sweetness, rendering it highly enticing to the palate. In the United States, this delightful fruit is available both in its fresh form and preserved within cans, providing an opportunity to relish its distinctive taste year-round.
