An unusual cell which forms in acute lymphoblastic leukaemia as a result of the change which takes place in a lymphocyte on contact with an antigen.
An abnormal cell present in the blood and blood-forming organs in a type of leukemia (lymphoblastic leukemia). It has a large nucleus with very scanty cytoplasm and was once thought to be the precursor of the lymphocyte.
