Ileocecal sphincter
A projection of the ileum into the cecum that acts as a sphincter.

In bacteriology, the cell and partial cell wall remaining after the organism’s cell-wall synthesis has been prevented. Spheroplasts may be formed when synthesis of the cell wall is prevented by the action of certain chemicals, e.g., penicillin, while cells are growing.
