  • Alga

    A simple type of aquatic plant life typically observed in water bodies, often referred to as the green algae or slimy growth that can be seen on still, stagnant ponds.  

  • Aleucocytosis

    The lack or inadequate production of white blood cells is known as leukopenia. Conversely, when there is an excessive increase in the production of white blood cells, it is referred to as leukocytosis.  

  • Visual agnosia

    The incapacity to identify objects based on their shape or color.  

  • Agnate

    In Scottish legal terminology, the designation for the accountable family member of a mentally ill individual, typically the nearest relative from the father’s side.  

  • Agitolalia

    An extremely fast rate of speech that leads to slurred, omitted, or distorted words, syllables, and sounds.  

  • Aftersound

    The perception of a sound even after the original vibration has stopped.  

  • Afternystagmus

    Nystagmus refers to the rough or subtle shifting of the eyeball. If this motion continues even after a rotation has abruptly stopped, it is termed afternystagmus.  

  • Afflux

    The circulation of blood or another liquid within a specific area of the body, also known as affluxion.  

  • Affiliation order

    A legal directive issued by a magistrate requiring the presumed father to pay a specific amount for child support to the mother, regardless of whether he is married to her or not.  

  • Aeremia

    The occurrence of air in the bloodstream, a condition that is often fatal and may sometimes be the cause of death in illegal abortions.
