Immunoglobulin fragment
The portion of the IgG molecule that contains an antibody-combining site. Specific fragments are obtained by treating the molecule with the enzyme papain under specified conditions. The resultant fragments are designated “F(zz) Fragment,” where zz represents the specific fragment.
