Pericardial adhesion
Sticking of the pericardium to the myocardium, e.g., after heart surgery. If extensive, adhesions may lead to restriction of the normal contraction of the heart.

Adhesion in the abdominal cavity, usually involving the intestines; caused by inflammation or trauma. If adhesions cause great pain or intestinal obstruction, they are treated surgically.
