  • Zymosis

    Process of fermentation. The process of fermentation, brought about by yeast organisms. The fermentation process. The occurrence of contagious diseases; any infectious or communicable illness.

    Like an enzyme. A toxin originating from decomposing tissues, bearing a resemblance to a ferment.

    Poisonous substance from an animal (e.g., snake venom). Any toxin or poison produced by an animal (e.g., snake venom).  

  • Zoopsia

    Visual hallucination of animals, sometimes occurring in delirium tremens. Visual hallucinations of animals. These can occur in any condition causing hallucinations but are most typical of delirium tremens. Hallucinations involving the perception of animals, like pink elephants, which frequently manifest during delirium tremens resulting from alcohol poisoning.
