A drug used for removing tapeworms. Niclosamide is a medication employed as an anthelmintic to address tapeworm infections. Its mechanism involves inducing the tapeworm to release its hold on the intestinal lining. Subsequently, the worm is expelled from the body through bowel movements. Adverse effects of niclosamide encompass abdominal discomfort, dizziness, and itching.  

A drug which slows down the movement of calcium ions into smooth muscle cells, used especially to treat angina.  

To counteract the effect of something. To form a salt from an acid.  

Referring to a bacterium which is attracted to and attacks nerves. Growing toward or having an affinity for neural tissue. The term may be applied to viruses, chemicals, or toxins. Drawing toward or demonstrating a preference for nerve tissue.
