    Treatment in which someone lies in a bath of hot water containing particular chemicals, in hot mud or in other substances.

    The treatment of illnesses by giving people drugs. A drug used to treat a particular illness. Drug or other substance used to treat an illness.     A shampoo containing a chemical which is supposed to prevent dandruff. Shampoo containing special chemicals or drugs that are very effective in reducing dandruff or relieving other scalp conditions.

    A ward for people who do not have to undergo surgical operations.  

  • Medical social worker

    Someone who helps people with family problems or problems related to their work which may have an effect on their response to treatment. A person with some medical training, employed to assist patients with domestic problems that may arise through illness.  

  • Medical secretary

    A qualified secretary who specialises in medical documentation, either in a hospital or in a doctor’s surgery.  

  • Medical school

    A section of a university which teaches medicine.
