  • Insult

    Referring to a condition in which the muscle and other tissue cells respond inadequately to insulin, as in Type II diabetes.

    An enzyme which breaks down insulin. An enzyme, found in such tissues as the liver and kidney, that is responsible for the normal breakdown of insulin in the body. An enzyme occurring in body tissues, such as the kidney and liver, that breaks down insulin in the body.
