  • Impotent

    (Of a man) unable to have sexual intercourse. Erectile dysfunction refers to the inability to achieve and maintain an erection that is suitable for engaging in sexual intercourse.

    A substance grafted or inserted into a person.  

  • Impermeable

    Not allowing liquids or gases to pass through, as with a membrane.  

  • Impalpable

    Not able to be felt when touched. Describing a structure within the body that cannot be detected (or that can be detected only with difficulty) by feeling with the hand. Felt with difficulty, if at all; hardly perceptible to the touch. Unable to be identified by touch.  

  • Impaired vision

    Eyesight which is not fully clear.  

  • Impair

    To harm a sense or function so that it does not work properly.  

  • Impaction

    A condition in which two things are impacted. Cramping or tight wedging of materials or parts in a limited space, especially feces lodged in the lower colon.   • Impacted ureteric calculus

    A small hard mass of mineral salts which is lodged in a ureter.  

  • Impacted fracture

    A fracture where the broken parts of the bones are pushed into each other. A fracture in which the bone is broken and one end is wedged into the interior of the other.  

  • Impacted faeces

    Extremely hard dry faeces which cannot pass through the anus and have to be surgically removed.
