    A lens on which a cataract has formed.  

  • Cataract extraction

    The surgical removal of a cataract from the eye.  

  • Catalytic reaction

    A chemical reaction which is caused by a catalyst which does not change during the reaction.

  • Catalysis

    A process where a chemical reaction is helped by a substance (the catalyst) which does not change during the process. The speeding of a chemical reaction by a catalyst. A chemical interaction between two substances that is facilitated by the addition of a small amount of a third substance, known as a catalyst.

    A person who has had an accident or who is suddenly ill.

    A model for the care of child patients, where the parents are involved in the treatment.

    The main protein in milk, from which casein is formed.

    The process by which dead tissue decays into a firm and dry mass. It is characteristic of tuberculosis. The breakdown of diseased tissue into a dry cheese like mass: a type of degeneration associated with tubercular lesions.
