  • Monosaturated fatty acid

    A fatty acid with one double bond, as in oleic acid.  

  • Monotrichous

    A flagellar arrangement with a single flagellum arising at the end of the cell.

    In research, any relationship in which steady increases or decreases of the dependent variable are associated with increases of the independent variable.

    Large white blood cells that have only one nucleus.  

  • Monokiines

    Powerful chemical substances secreted by monocytes and macrophages that help direct the immune response.  

  • Monohybrid

    A cross between two parents differing only in a single gene. Offspring of a cross between parents differing in a single genetic characteristic.
