    In epidemiology, a rate in which the number of new cases is divided by the number of people at risk. Usually stated as the number of new cases per 100,000.

    Reflective of strong social norms or standards against sexual activities among members of the same family or blood relatives.

    Motivation generated by external stimuli rather than internal drives.

    The imprisonment of a tissue by surrounding bonds or adhesions. The anomalous restriction of a segment of the gastrointestinal tract or other anatomical tissues is referred to as an umbilical hernia. This particular condition has the potential to result in the imprisonment of a portion of the intestinal structure.
