  • Hydraulic-power unit

    Technically, to indicate that a person is in a satisfactory state of water balance. Combined chemically with water, forming a hydrate.

    In genetics, the increased vigor that frequently is demonstrated by the progeny of a cross between inbred lines or between unrelated forms, varieties, or species.

    The substance that controls the transformation of the primitive gonads into testes in the embryo. When not present, the primitive gonads develop into ovaries.

    The ground substance of living protoplasm.

    In dentistry, notched or peg-shaped teeth typically found in persons with congenital syphilis. The term applied to the narrowed and notched permanent incisor teeth which occur in congenital syphilis.
