  • Divisible contract

    In labor relations, one which can be separated into two or more parts not necessarily dependent upon each other nor intended by the parties to be so.

  • Divergent thinking

    Thinking that is directed toward producing as many novel but appropriate ideas as possible.  

  • Divergent thinker

    A person who tends to respond to question in unpredictable and unconventional ways, convergent thinker.  

  • Divergent learning

    Extends in different directions.  

  • Disturbed-neurotic delinquency

    In psychology, an adolescent’s adoption of impulsive antisocial behavior as a means of rebelling against the family.  

  • District

    In politics, the division of the state represented by a legislator, designated numerically or by geographic boundaries.  

  • Distributive bargaining

    In labor relations, negotiations whereby the gain of one party represents a loss to the other party.  

  • Distribution curve

    In statistics, a graphic representation that reflects the way observations distribute themselves. The frequency of the observations are plotted along a vertical axis and the type of observations are plotted along the horizontal axis: normal curve.  

  • Distributed practice

    A system of practice schedules separated by either rest or some activity that is different from the one being practiced.
