  • Destination of message

    In information theory, the point at which Information results in some form of reaction; one of the components of the information theory destruction of perception and affect. In psychology, feelings of extreme urgency and anticipation together with the conviction that neutral events have special, personal significance, suggestive of potential psychotic breakdown.  

  • Des syndrome

    The occurrence of neoplasms of the vagina in young women whose mothers were given DES during pregnancy: DES daughters.  

  • Despondency

    Depression of spirits.  

  • Desire prephase

    The second of two prophases to the sexual response cycle during which the person develops a desire for sexual involvement, desire phase.

    A necessary first step in the sequence of human sexual responses, hypoactive sexual desire; satisfaction phase; desire prephase.

  • Desiccation

    Dried up. A form of mummification in which the body is allowed to dehydrate. Drying out of plant tissue, especially foliage. Process of drying, often to an abnormal extent.  

  • Desiccate

    To remove water from any substance, e.g., by heating or by storage with a hygroscopic materials.
