  • Insulin sensitivity

    The body’s ability to use glucose, a sugar. This passage pertains to a tissue’s responsiveness to insulin, which can be evaluated by determining the concentration of insulin that generates a response equal to half the maximum reaction observed during insulin-mediated glucose removal. This measurement can be obtained via the euglycemic hyperinsulinemic clamp technique.
