    (Of sepals or petals in bud) meeting exactly at the margins without overlapping. Margins of calyx or corolla not overlapping. Said when parts meet each other by their edges, without over-lapping.

    A resin canal opposite a longitudinal sulcus in the achenes of Compositae/Asteraceae.

    The grooves between the ribs of Umbelliferae/Apiaceae fruits, where the vittae are often to be found.
