Retainer
Device used to stabilize teeth in the desired position; it is usually an orthodontic appliance. Any device or attachment for keeping something in place. An upfront payment made to a doctor, lawyer, or other professional to ensure access to their services as required.

Impression coping fixed intraorally either through frictional fit or by being screwed into position. Immediately after removal of the impression, it remains intraorally.

Distance measured between a predetermined point on the maxilla and mandible when the mandible is in physical rest position. One point is on the middle of the face or nose and the other point is on the lower face or chin.
