Coping screw
Prosthetic component (i.e., screw) incorporated as part of the anchorage by means of engaging threads so as to maintain the position of a coping (e.g., impression coping). A one‐piece element can also serve as the coping, which is threaded directly into the anchorage component.

Coping impression
An impression, usually encompassing an entire dental arch, that uses metal or resin copings placed on prepared teeth. The copings are repositioned before the pouring of a working cast.

Specific coping shape or pattern, or the method by which it is made or planned. The coping is designed specifically for use within an implant system.
