Vestibule of mouth

The middle part of the inner ear, behind the cochlea, and in front of the semicircular canals; it contains the utricle and saccule.

The part of the left ventricle of the heart just below the aortic valve.

One of the large blood vessels entering and leaving the heart.

Conduit vessel
One of the large blood vessels that conducts fluid from the heart to the systemic circulation. The elasticity of these vessels is an important factor in the development of hypertension.

Collateral vessel
A vessel parallel to the vessel from which it arose. A secondary branch or interconnected network of branches originating from a major blood vessel.

Vespula vulgari
The scientific name for the yellow jacket. The yellow jacket is a black-and-yellow-striped stinging wasp whose venom, abbreviated Ves υ by the World Health Organization, may cause anaphylaxis in susceptible individuals.

Family of wasps, including paper wasps, hornets, and yellow jackets.
