  • Sinusoidal

Changing in relation to the sine of an angle or a time-based function. In sinusoidal alternating currents, the current wave starts from zero, reaches its peak, and then gradually descends close to zero. It never actually reaches zero because a second ascent towards the maximum initiates, causing the wave to rise once more.

Air-filled spaces, covered by a mucous membrane, that connect to the nasal passages. The two maxillary sinuses are located in the cheekbones, the two frontal sinuses are situated within the bone on either side of the base of the nose, and the ethmoid sinuses link to the rear of the nasal airways.
