Pain threshold

That level of tolerance at which pain becomes uncomfortable, pain tolerance.


The point at which a person finds it impossible to bear pain without crying.


Point at which a stimulus activates pain receptors to produce a feeling of pain. Individuals differ in pain threshold, some experiencing pain sooner than others with a higher pain threshold.


The minimum level of sensory stimulation that a person will perceive as being unpleasant, noxious, or intolerable.
