One of the two ducts in an embryo which develop into the uterus and Fallopian tubes.
Either of the paired ducts that form adjacent to the mesonephric ducts in the embryo. In the female these ducts develop into the fallopian tubes, womb, and part of the vagina. However, in the male they degenerate almost completely.
The genital canal in the embryo. In females it develops into the oviducts, uterus, and vagina; in males it degenerates to form the appendix testis.
