Pernod

A liqueur imbued with the flavor of anise, reminiscent of absinthe, and possessing a palatable essence akin to licorice.

Derived from a French company renowned for its distillation of absinthe, this aperitif bears the name “Pernod.” However, the contemporary incarnation of Pernod abstains from including absinthe in its composition, as the latter is currently forbidden in France. Instead, Pernod revolves around the essence of aniseed. The customary serving practice involves combining one part Pernod with three parts water, accompanied by the addition of ice cubes to ensure a refreshing chill.
