A water body produced by terrestrial plants, often a pitcher (Cephalotaceae, Nepenthaceae, Sarraceniaceae), bamboo internodes or tree hollows, formed by leaves that hold water, as in some Bromeliaceae, Heliconiaceae, Musaceae and Dipsacus (Caprifoliaceae).
