Inflammation of the foreskin.


Inflammation usually due to bacterial infection, of the foreskin of the penis, causing redness, swelling, and pain; often associated with inflammation of the glans. Treatment is by antibiotics.


Inflammation of the foreskin. This usually occurs in association with inflammation of the glans penis. Pain, redness, and swelling of the foreskin occurs due to bacterial infection. Treatment is by antibiotic administration, and subsequent circumcision prevents further attacks.


A rarely employed term for inflammation of the prepuce.
