Near to and in front of a ganglion.


Nerve fibers arising proximal to (before) a ganglion; compare to postganglionic fibers that originate distal to (after) a ganglion.


Describing fibers in a nerve pathway that end in a ganglion, where they form synapses with postganglionic fibers that continue the pathway to the effector organ, muscle, or gland.


Situated in front of or anterior to a ganglion.
