School health curriculum project

Originally called the Berkeley Project, it began in the 1960s as an experimental project focusing on an in-depth study of the heart and circulatory system. It then expanded as an articulated curriculum plan for health education beginning in the primary grades and extending through high school. It is a highly structured plan of instruction for each health area, consisting of uninterrupted instructional phases focusing on each of the body’s systems with respect to health and disease.
