Step-up transformer

A transformer that changes electricity to a higher voltage.

A step-up transformer functions by increasing the voltage output in comparison to the input voltage, thereby stepping up the electrical potential. As a consequence of this voltage amplification, there is a corresponding decrease in amperage, adhering to the principle of power conservation, where the input power equates to the output power. In the realm of X-ray circuits, the high-voltage transformer assumes the role of a step-up transformer, enabling the elevation of voltage levels for the desired purposes.
