Urinary bladder

Located in the pelvis it is a storage sac for urine.

A sac where the urine collects after passing from the kidneys through the ureters, before being passed out of the body through the urethra.

Muscular sac in the pelvis that stores urine for discharge through the urethra. The urine is carried to the bladder through the ureters from the kidneys; also called bladder.

The urinary bladder is a highly distensible organ for storing urine. It consists of smooth muscle known as the detrusor muscle and is lined with urine-proof cells known as transitional cell epithelium.

A muscular, membranous, distensible reservoir that holds urine situated in the pelvic cavity. It receives urine from the kidneys through the ureters and discharges it from the body through the urethra.
