Vegetarian diet

There are several variants of the vegetarian diet. They include the consumption of all foods except meat but can include fish, eggs, milk, and milk products; the consumption of all foods except meat and fish, but can include eggs, milk, and milk products; and the consumption of fruits and vegetables with the exclusion of all foods of animal origin.

Diet in which vegetables are the foundation and meat products are restricted or eliminated.

A genuine vegetarian diet, as the name implies, revolves around the consumption of vegetables and fruits exclusively. While adherents of this lifestyle interpret it as abstaining from consuming meat, they often permit themselves to consume dairy products such as milk, cheese, and sometimes eggs, categorizing them as lacto-vegetarians. This diet tends to be voluminous, especially in its strictest form, making it particularly suitable for individuals who struggle with excess weight. However, it is worth noting that it can lead to flatulence and may not be suitable for those dealing with this condition. Additionally, it may have a deficiency in protein content. In general, a well-informed individual with adequate knowledge in nutrition can successfully maintain a satisfying lacto-vegetarian diet by ensuring it remains well-balanced.
