An apparatus used to measure the relative humidity of the air. It includes two thermometers, with one of them having its bulb saturated with water. The cooling effect caused by the evaporation of water leads to a temperature drop in that thermometer. The temperature difference between the two thermometers is indicative of the relative humidity.
