Wilhelm C Roentgen

On November 8, 1895, Dr. Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen, a physicist, made the discovery of x-rays while observing the effects of a high-voltage Crookes vacuum tube. He noticed that a nearby piece of barium platinocyanide emitted a glow in the dark. Dr. Roentgen is widely recognized as the father of x-ray technology.
