Individuals with this condition experience an exceedingly sluggish heartbeat due to disruptions in the heart's functioning. When the heart rate decreases to the point where it can't pump an adequate amount of blood to the brain, the patient may faint. Essentially, this is a fainting episode, which may or may not be accompanied by convulsions. It is also known as Stokes-Adams disease.
