A1991 case in which the estate of a New Jersey surgeon who died from AIDS in 1989 sued the hospital (the Medical Center at Princeton) alleging that the hospital violated New Jersey's Law Against Discrimination when it restricted Dr. Behringer's privileges to practice surgery and required him to obtain informed consent before performing invasive procedures.
