Voltage drop refers to the decrease in voltage that occurs between two points along a conductor as a result of the current flowing through the conductor's resistance. The voltage drop can be determined by multiplying the resistance, measured in ohms, by the current, measured in amperes, yielding the voltage drop expressed in volts.
