This results in a deformation of the wrist joint. Unlike a Colles' fracture (a specific type of wrist fracture), the hand and wrist are shifted from their usual position in a forward direction. This kind of fracture typically occurs due to a fall onto the back of the hand, resulting in the bending of the wrist joint forward and subsequent breakage.A fracture similar to a Colles' fracture of the wrist, but with the displacement happening in the opposite direction. It's also termed a reverse Colles' fracture.
