An antiacne drug; an antipsoriasis drug. Tazarotene (Tazorac) is a gel that is spread on the face to help keep the skin pores clean and acne free. Tazarotene works to treat psoriasis by reducing skin redness and inhibiting the formation of abnormal cells. Tazarotene is chemically related to vitamin A.A retinoids preparation used in the treatment of psoriasis. It is applied in the evening and continued for up to six weeks. Tazarotens is not recommended for those aged under 18.
