Pain of angina pectoris when there is a pronounced occlusion of an artery in the heart. The pain is often frequent and severe. This may be a forewarning of a possible myocardial infarction stable angina.Angina which has suddenly become worse.Angina that has changed to a more frequent and more severe form. It can occur during rest and may be an indication of impending myocardial infarction. Unstable angina is a medical emergency.There is a form of angina pectoris, a condition marked by chest pain resulting from inadequate blood flow to the heart muscle, which manifests during sleep or arises spontaneously without any specific trigger, such as physical exertion.A variant of angina pectoris (chest discomfort resulting from insufficient blood flow to the heart muscle) that arises during sleep or without any specific triggers (unlike exercise-induced pain in regular angina). The description "unstable" may also encompass angina that is increasing in frequency or intensity. Unstable angina constitutes a medical urgency due to the heightened potential for a myocardial infarction (heart attack). Medications are administered, and angioplasty might be required.
</oembed>
